Interior fit-out

Tender business. You win with the overall package: functional scope, design and price — not on the design alone. Both exist: batch size one as much as series production with differing variants.

What changes for you

From line item to component
The specification becomes the plan: line items turn into components, with no intermediate step and no second entry.
Costing and figures on demand
Direct and full costs per line item from the bill of materials and time allowances; price, availability and alternatives sit on the component.
Dates and invoicing in the ERP
Deadlines, reminders, the billing calendar and milestone-driven invoicing runs in CAD+T ERP Professional.

Sound familiar from tender business?

Sales

The specification replaces the sales meeting

Active selling is rare here: no planning appointment, no rendering that convinces. What counts is the line item in the specification – miss it and you are out of the procedure.

Costing

Fast, reliable costing is the precondition

Direct costs, full costs, figures for the award meeting: price, availability and alternatives are asked for on the spot. Spread across several spreadsheet versions, none of that can be shown.

Invoicing

Dates and invoices follow the construction stage

Deadlines, reminders and stage invoices hang on milestones. Handled manually, that ties up liquidity – and afterwards nobody can see what has already been billed.

Three bottlenecks, one cause: Quotation, production and invoicing work from separate versions. With CAD+T they sit on the same component and the same order – from the tender through to the stage invoice.

From tender to reorder

  1. 1

    Tender & costing

The items in the bill of quantities are built from master articles. Material, hardware and compliance data sit on them and flow into the costing.

  2. 2

    Sampling & sign-off

The sample room is visualised and agreed before the run starts.

  3. 3

    Survey & variants

The connecting dimensions per building go into the model. The variants come out of the master article.

  4. 4

    Series in packages

Cutting, machine data and picking by construction phase instead of one overall list.

  5. 5

    Handover & reorder

Documents, compliance data and parts lists stay on record against the project — and are there again when a reorder comes in.

Common questions from interior fit-out companies

Our bid preparation depends on two experienced people. Can that be spread out?

Partly. Whatever sits on the master article — material, hardware, compliance data — nobody has to know any more, because it is recorded there. What stays a matter of experience is judging the tender itself. The software takes the legwork, not the judgement.

We deliver into eight buildings with different dimensions. How does the specification stay identical?

Through the master article. Specification, material and hardware live there; per building only the dimension is set. What is meant to be identical cannot drift apart.

Can we reorder the same piece of furniture years later?

Yes, as long as the order stays in the system. Material, edge, hardware and dimensions are held against the project; the reorder is a retrieval, not a reconstruction.

How do we get from the tender into planning?

The specified line items are set up as master articles and placed in the rooms. Drawing, list and costing then come from the same source.

How does production handle construction phases?

The parts list can be evaluated by building, floor or phase. Cutting and picking are generated package by package instead of as one large list.

Can production be automated step by step?

Yes, and with contract orders that is the usual route: the modular structure lets you start with one stage – the machine link for the series line items, for instance – and extend later. Every stage pays off on its own, and the running order is not stopped for it. Consulting, implementation and support come from us.

Where do reliable times for production planning come from?

From the component itself. The machining logic follows from material and geometry, and the operations are evaluated – per employee, workstation and tool. That way a construction stage can be planned ahead instead of estimated, and tools and equipment are ready when the line item goes into production.

What does CAD+T cost for an interior fit-out company?

Which modules you need and how many workstations: we work that out together with you on site – and it is the basis for the quote. Thanks to the modular structure you take only the applications you actually need: as the business grows, individual modules can be added at any time.

We work with main contractors and architects. Does the data exchange fit?

Drawings and DWG come straight out of the model, parts lists as a table. Because CAD+T sits on AutoCAD, the drawing you pass on is not an export into a foreign format.

How does a project with CAD+T start?

With a project structure plan: it covers the installation as well as training for everyone involved. You start where the need is most urgent.

The answers give an overview – we are happy to clarify the details in person. Errors, changes and typos excepted.

Is the next tender on your desk?

Tell us the quantities and the evidence being asked for. We will show you how material and hardware data sit on the component and flow from there into the parts list.
